Job Title: Category Manager | General Merchandise
Location: Shrewsbury MA - Not a remote position
Salary: $95-105K Flexible for the right candidate
Requirements: Bachelors in Business or related field with 3+ years of experience in a corporate retail environment

5+ years of experience working in a corporate retail environment
Responsible for developing and executing the strategies that grow the revenue and profitability.
Define category-specific financial and operational performance targets.
Continuously evaluate category financial and operational performance against goals.
Maintain accountability of category growth and Profit & Loss (P&L).
Follow trends and use analysis to identify new opportunities.
Collaborate and negotiate with manufacturers and vendors to ensure new product development, product placement and product strategy that grow sales profitability.
Create strategic product programs and marketing plans by collaborating with internal partners.
Lead the development of promotional activities to grow sales and improve category performance.
Define pricing strategies and rules for category pricing targets, including zone-specific.
Coordinate special promotions/events like Trade Shows and in store events.
Ensure financial targets are met.
Manage organizational compliance with all established supplier agreements
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field required
3+ years in Category Management
Strong analytical capabilities
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Passion for setting and meeting aggressive goals
Highly adaptive, proactive, and resourceful
Skilled at creating executive level presentations
