Job Title: Tax Accountant | Public Accounting
Location: Based in La Crosse or Madison Wi
Salary: $70,000-$100,000

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance or similar and 3+ years of tax preparation; CPA is preferred but not required.

Due to growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Tax Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team!

Tax Accountant position overview: This position is responsible for providing tax services to clients, such as corporate and individual tax returns, compliance, and business planning. The Tax Accountant will also be responsible for conducting tax research and preparing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file corporate and individual tax returns, such as 1120, 1065, and 1120S.
Provide tax compliance services and advice.
Develop and implement business strategies for clients.
Conduct research to stay up to date on new tax regulations and legislation.
Analyze financial statements.
Prepare business returns and other related taxation documents.

Qualifications:

CPA certification required.
At least 3 years of experience in tax and accounting.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
