Position Overview
The IT Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing technical guidance to ensure the success of the companys IT projects and initiatives. The supervisor will be in charge of the daily operation of the companys IT infrastructure and will be responsible for developing and managing the IT processes. The supervisor will be expected to understand the technologies the company is using and share that knowledge with other members of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise all aspects of IT operations, including developing and managing the IT processes, monitoring system performance, responding to incidents and issues, and developing IT projects in accordance with the companys goals and objectives.
Provide technical guidance on system architecture, security, and best practices.
Provide technical support to internal customers, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
Monitor system performance and take corrective actions to ensure optimal system performance.
Develop and execute change management processes and procedures to ensure system integrity.
Conduct integration testing for new systems and applications.
Ensure that all systems are in compliance with the companys security policies and procedures.
Plan, organize, and coordinate IT operations in support of the companys goals and objectives.
Develop and manage system documentation, including technical manuals and user guides.
Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of new systems and upgrades.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
5+ years of experience in IT operations, system administration, and/or IT engineering.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Linux, and .NET Core environments.
Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and integration testing techniques.
Experience with system automation and scripting (Python preferred).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with the insurance industry is a plus.
