Position: Superintendent
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the execution of various heavy highway and site development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and skills in paving, earth work, utilities, milling, and construction, and will be responsible for ensuring the timely and successful completion of all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of heavy highway and site development projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation- Supervise and provide guidance to project teams including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Ensure project compliance with safety standards and regulations- Monitor progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays, and maintain project timelines
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate resources and ensure project efficiency
- Manage project budgets and expenses to maintain profitability- Train and mentor project team members to improve performance and ensure quality standards are met
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the heavy highway and site development industry
- Strong knowledge and experience in paving, earth work, utilities, milling, and construction procedures
- Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget
- Excellent leadership and communication skills- Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites as needed
