Staff Auditor Position Overview:
The Staff Auditor position is responsible for conducting financial and operational audits to assess the effectiveness of company policies and procedures. This includes identifying key audit risks, conducting in-depth analysis, and recommending corrective action for identified issues. The Staff Auditor will also provide business advice to the internal audit team and company management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain audit plans and procedures for each assigned audit
Analyze financial activity and internal controls
Ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met
Identify and analyze areas of risk within the organization
Develop audit reports and present findings to management
Develop and maintain working relationships with staff and management
Communicate findings to senior management
Develop and implement corrective action plans
Follow up on audit issues and document results
Assist internal audit team in other activities as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
cooperative or condominium experience required
1+ years of auditing experience
Strong accounting, auditing, and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Excellent time management and multitasking skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
CPA or CIA certification a plus
