We are a Texas-based utilities company, specializing in power generation and distribution. Our team integrates AI-driven monitoring to optimize power consumption, fuels costs and emissions. We are continuing to grow, and looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to the mixture.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems and components for various projects, with a strong focus on power distribution and generation. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and adherence to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems and components for power distribution and generation projects.
Conduct detailed analysis of electrical systems and provide effective solutions to problems.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
Perform system studies and simulations using tools such as ETAP and SKM.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations in electrical engineering.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power distribution and generation.
Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices.
Experience with medium voltage systems and protection relay logic.
Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, and other electrical engineering software tools is a plus.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
