Title: Senior Controls Engineer

Responsibilities:
1) Ensure that manufacturing is provided with robust equipment and processes
2) Promote teamwork between the maintenance, engineering, and production groups.
3) Identify and spearhead continuous improvement and upgrade projects as it relates to equipment PLC controls
and HMI screens
4) Collaborate with and provide guidance to maintenance and mechanical engineering team members when
implementing new equipment and technology
5) Troubleshoot electrical and control issues with machinery including finding replacements for obsolete
components
6) Address day-to-day IT issues including operating system upgrades, software installs, printing issues, general
troubleshooting, ordering and setup of new computers
7) Work with corporate IT to address network security vulnerabilities
8) Act as the plant representative to coordinate IT system upgrades (servers, switches, wireless access points, etc.)
between 3rd party installers and corporate IT personnel
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
1) Must be able to read and interpret electrical prints and ladder logic prints
2) Must have a strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers
a. Preference to Allen Bradley RS500, RS5000, Studio 5000 and DirectSoft
3) Must have strong knowledge of HMI screen programming
a. Preference to Allen-Bradley, C-more, Beijer, and Proface
4) Must be able to troubleshoot advanced electrical control problems. . . AC drives, motion control software,
encoders, servo drives, etc.
5) Must be willing to learn IAI robotics programming
6) Must have a working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control wiring
7) Must possess good computer skills including operating systems and software troubleshooting
8) Must have working knowledge of ethernet IP switches, addressing, communications
9) Must understand Lock-out Tag-out
10) Must be able to distinguish between safe and unsafe work conditions and practices
11) Must communicate clearly portraying a confident, alert, and constructive demeanor
