Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a focus on Structural Engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of complex structures and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the construction of complex structures, including steel structures, masonry, concrete, and foundations.
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Lead project teams and collaborate with other departments to ensure project success.
- Create detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for each project.
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Perform design review and provide feedback to ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Design and analyze structures and provide detailed construction documentation.
- Ensure that all applicable safety standards and regulations are met.
- Perform RFI (Request for Information) and change order management.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other staff as needed.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- Experience with project management and leading project teams.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with designing and analyzing steel structures, masonry, concrete, and foundations.
- Software Knowlege in AutoCAD, or similar software such as RISA, TEKLA TEDDS, Revit, Civil3D and Navisworks.
- Experience with design review and providing feedback to ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Nice to have skills include experience in project management, Professional Engineer certification, and design review.
- Experience with RFI (Request for Information) and change order management.
