Overview:
A premier San Diego-based firm specializing in securities, finance, and business litigation/transaction matters is seeking an experienced attorney for a Senior Attorney - Partnership Track opportunity. This role offers the right candidate the chance to take on complex litigation and arbitration cases with the potential for partnership within a well-established national practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Assume primary responsibility for handling complex litigation and arbitration cases under the supervision of a partner.
Manage all aspects of cases from start to finish, including case strategy, research, legal writing, discovery, and client communication.
Work with a variety of clients including broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, hedge funds, private equity funds, and other national and international businesses.
Engage in litigation/arbitration matters before both California state and federal courts.
Work collaboratively within a sophisticated, low-volume, high-quality legal environment that prioritizes excellence over quantity.
Opportunity for training and development in specialized areas such as FINRA regulations, financial services, labor law, and complex business transactions.
Required Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in California state and federal court litigation/arbitration.
Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
Must be able to take primary responsibility for cases, managing deadlines, legal strategy, and client relationships.
Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a partner while managing individual caseloads.
Knowledge of FINRA, financial services, labor law, and complex business transactions is a plus but not required.
