Position Overview: The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing accounting operations, including financial reporting, financial analysis, and the review of financial data for accuracy. The Senior Accountant will also provide guidance to accounting staff to ensure that accounting tasks are completed accurately and timely.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage general ledger accounts and initiate journal entries.
Prepare and review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
Prepare and/or review financial statements, income statements, and balance sheets.
Analyze financial information to identify trends and inconsistencies.
Provide guidance and support to accounting staff on a regular basis.
Respond to inquiries from external auditors and provide information as required.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to regulatory agencies, tax authorities, and other related entities.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure integrity of financial data.
Assist with tax filings and audits.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and audit.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills..
