Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to oversee and improve our safety programs and compliance with mining safety regulations. This role is critical in fostering a safe work environment while ensuring adherence to MSHA and OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs in compliance with MSHA regulations
Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards
Provide safety training to employees and management on relevant safety practices and regulations
Serve as the primary contact for MSHA and OSHA representatives during inspections and audits
Review and analyze safety data and incident reports to monitor safety performance
Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures that meet or exceed regulatory requirements
Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety within the organization
Evaluate and implement new safety technologies and practices to enhance workplace safety

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of experience in safety management within the mining industry
Strong knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations and compliance
Experience conducting safety audits and training programs
Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent are preferred
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to analyze data and develop effective safety strategies
Familiarity with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and practices
