Position Overview:
The Risk Manager is responsible for assessing, analyzing, and managing risk related to construction projects. This role will ensure that the projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, while ensuring safety and adherence to legal and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze contracts, budgets, and change orders to identify potential risks and evaluate alternative solutions.
Manage sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
Monitor insurance policies and coordinate with external insurers to ensure adequate coverage for all projects.
Investigate and resolve claims related to the project.
Monitor projects for compliance with safety standards and handle any resulting safety issues.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall success of projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in construction, general contractor, and/or subcontractor roles.
Knowledge of risk management practices and principles.
Experience with claims management and dispute resolution.
Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations in the construction industry.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
