Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Irving, TX
Salary: $100,000 - $140,000
THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE
Responsibilities:
Charged with supervising the application and upkeep of the BRC standard, all safety policies and procedures, SSOP (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures), HACCP (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points), FDA (Food & Drug Administration), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and any other legally mandated regulations.
Provide a foundational education in food science to every team member.
Manage a group of developers to design, produce, and introduce fresh innovative initiatives.
Encourage and assist in the development of food safety, quality, and sanitation policies; additionally, guarantee compliance for a facility that produces gluten-free food.
Assure sustainable product delivery that minimizes risk to the business and production facilities while maintaining high standards of quality.
Evaluate and foresee possible and developing concerns related to food safety, quality, and regulations, and devise plans to efficiently look into and address them.
Assist in the examination and resolution of plant concerns that have escalated, such as quality holds, top customer complaints, and FDA/USDA regulatory matters.
Offer risk management techniques to assist with commercialization, innovation, and productivity projects pertaining to manufacturing facilities.
Ensure the quality and safety of the food, as well as the hiring, onboarding, training, and other growth and development opportunities for individuals and the department.
Handle pest control programs well.
Preserve a secure workplace.
Create the QA department's annual operational budget and make sure it is followed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting, including functional leadership duties in Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Technical Services, R&D, and/or other food-related experience
Experience in HACCP, kosher, organic, BRC, and/or FSMA Food Safety Plan
