Job Title: Purchasing Agent
Location: San Diego, CA
Salary: $70,000 - $82,500

Requirements: Military Mechanical Materials Sourcing
We are a premier full-service military ship repair business, and we are in search of a Purchasing Agent with military material sourcing and procurement experience.
The focus of this role will be reading, interpreting and doing take-offs from military mechanical, structural and electrical plans (Bill of Materials).
- Obtaining estimates for materials and services to support bids and contracted work
- Negotiating the best price
- Ensuring materials, supplies and services procured meet the applicable contract standards
- Placing orders and resolving invoice issues
- Managing shipping requirements
- Conducting inventory management
- Military materials sourcing and procurement experience (ship repair materials experience is ideal but not required)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Familiarity with mechanical, structural and electrical drawings
- Ability to interpret Bill of Materials
