What you will be doing:
Design and Development:
Lead the design and development of fuel, lube, and pneumatic valves and components.
Create and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Utilize CAD software to model components and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with aerospace standards.
Analytical Evaluation:
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform design decisions.
Perform engineering analysis (e.g., stress, thermal, fluid dynamics) to validate designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues.
Qualification and Testing:
Develop test plans and coordinate qualification testing of components and systems.
Analyze test data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Ensure that all products comply with applicable regulations and standards (e.g., FAA, AS9100, RTCA DO-160, MIL -STD- 810).
Project Planning:
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
Coordinate resources and timelines, adjusting as necessary to meet project goals.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Customer Meetings:
Engage with clients to gather requirements, discuss project updates, and address any concerns.
Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, showcasing design concepts, project timelines, and test results.
Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in design and manufacturing.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in aerospace engineering.
