The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all activities within manufacturing to include functional and distribution center responsibilities as well as drive continuous improvement to deliver results in support of the companies strategic business plan. This position is responsible for managing and ensuring the efficient, effective, and safe operation of the production and manufacturing support areas while successfully driving continuous improvement in safety, product quality, cost, production, facilities, on-time delivery, employee satisfaction, and other key performance metrics. The position requires vision, leadership, financial acumen combined with interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
Develop and execute manufacturing plan to deliver business objectives
Ensure plant resources are focused on safety as the number one priority of all employees
Ensures plant resources are focused on quality, production efficiency, and delivery
Provide leadership and direction to functional managers and supervisors with hands-on approach
Hire and direct staff to acquire necessary resources to meet business commitments
EDUCATIONAL, PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Manufacturing Operations
Minimum of 3 years' experience plant level leadership
Proven success in plant manager role
Proven success in developing key manufacturing positions
Ability to travel and work schedules as required
Strong Interpersonal and Communications skills Strong Analytical Skills
Strong Leadership Skills and Qualities
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree
Previous labor union experience
Lean Manufacturing successful hands-on experience
Bilingual - Spanish
Electrical Distribution experience
Experience in a metal manufacturing/diecasting industry/facility
Experience in an Automated assembly facility
Experience in Warehouse and distribution
Experience with Global supply chain
