Paving Superintendent Position Overview:
The Paving Superintendent is responsible for managing and directing all paving operations, ensuring the safety of all personnel, laborers, and equipment, and meeting project milestones and timelines. They will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all paving operations are completed in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
Paving Superintendent Key Responsibilities:
-Manage and direct paving operations, overseeing the work of paving crews and subcontractors
-Supervise all safety practices, inspections, and procedures
-Write and submit daily reports on all paving operations and activities
-Maintain communication with the Project Manager to ensure timelines and deadlines are met
-Ensure that all equipment is maintained in optimum condition
-Ensure that all operations and activities comply with applicable regulations, standards, and safety protocols
-Monitor and evaluate productivity and work quality of crews and subcontractors
-Monitor material and labor costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
Paving Superintendent Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in paving, asphalt, concrete, DOT, roadway, construction, highway, roadwork, clearing, and airports
-Knowledge of construction and safety standards and regulations
-Strong organizational and leadership skills
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
-Ability to work independently and in a team environment
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timelines and deadlines
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to lift 50 pounds.
