We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to help ensure our environmental compliance with federal, state, and local standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting data, assessing environmental hazards, and developing mitigation plans. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of natural resources and field ecology.
Position Overview:
The Environmental Specialist will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure environmental standards are met. The Environmental Specialist will ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Environmental Specialist will also monitor and report on environmental conditions and develop mitigation plans to limit environmental impacts.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate environmental conditions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards
Collect and analyze data to assess environmental hazards
Develop mitigation plans to limit environmental impacts
Prepare reports on environmental conditions and any changes
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure environmental standards are met
Stay up-to-date on relevant environmental regulations and standards
Work with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
Knowledge and experience with natural resources and field ecology
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in relevant software applications
