Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney

Location: San Diego, CA (HYBRID)

Salary: $170k-$230k/yr DOE

Required Experience: At least 5-7 yrs of experience in insurance defense litigation along with solid experience in at least 2 of the following litigation defense practices:  General liability, toxic torts, habitability, Construction defect, Insurance Coverage, Insurance Fraud, or Class Action defense.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense and a proven track record of successfully representing clients in complex litigation matters. This role involves providing expert legal advice, managing cases from inception to resolution, and ensuring the best possible Outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters, including insurance defense, coverage disputes, and general liability claims.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies tailored to each case.
  • Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risk management strategies related to claims and coverage issues.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive case management and support.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends impacting insurance defense and litigation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and legal interns.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation defense, specifically in insurance defense and coverage matters.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant case law and statutes pertaining to habitability, toxic torts, and insurance fraud.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client relationships.
