Legal Assistant/Litigation Secretary

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Assistant/Litigation Secretary to support our legal team in managing litigation cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal knowledge, particularly in litigation, and have excellent administrative skills to ensure the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing documents and evidence
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Maintain and update case files and databases
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as required
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation
  • Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings for attorneys
  • Review and summarize legal documents and correspondence
  • Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and binders
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal
  • Knowledge of litigation processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with IP law, patent cases, and criminal defense matters preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
