Position Overview:
The Superintendent for Single Family and Commercial construction will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all construction activities for a variety of projects, including retail spaces, offices, K-12 buildings, religious facilities, and healthcare facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, with experience as a Superintendent and knowledge of the retail, commercial, and various institutional sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, including coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Monitor project progress and quality, making adjustments as needed to ensure timely and high-quality completion.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any concerns or issues
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, coordinating change orders, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and performance of construction staff, including subcontractors and laborers.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work is being carried out according to plans and specifications.
- Act as the main point of contact for any project-related inquiries or issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Experience in retail, commercial, and institutional construction projects, such as offices, K-12 buildings, religious facilities, and healthcare facilities.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in relevant computer software and project management tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to project sites as needed.
