Title: Controls Engineer

- P&ID development, control system design, control panel design, and testing are all included in the field of instrumentation and controls.
- Adhere to established codes and standards when conducting design and analysis.
- Create documentation, instrumentation drawings, and control system drawings.
- Create the necessary wiring, panels, and other components for the instrumentation and control systems.
- Provide maintenance technicians and operators with troubleshooting training.
- Make changes to SOPs.
- Instrument controls are monitored throughout the plant to detect any unusual equipment or operating condition
- Recognize computer configurations, electrical interfaces, networking principles, and programming.
- Respect the requirements of the Management of Change system; comprehend the meanings of the PSM, PSI, and safety systems.
- Modify control settings on equipment units that impact chemical reaction speeds, quality, and yields as needed.
- Recognize how chemicals interact with controls and monitors, and comprehend lab test results to suggest changes to the process.
- Bachelors Degree or related work history
- Chemical Background is a plus!
- Instrumentation and Controls Engineering experience
- PLC, HMI and Electrical background
- Familiarity with the NEC regulations
