Title: Field Operations Manager
Location: Hybrid (from home and in the field) - Bozeman, Roundup, Forsyth, and Butte areas
Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 + bonus
We are a small and rapidly growing telecom company looking to hire multiple Field Operations Managers for a few different locations in Montana. This position will play an important role in maintaining our fiber infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for locating, maintaining, and troubleshooting long-haul fiber assets. You will also operate as a field support contact for the Network Operations Center. An ideal candidate will be eager to learn, is self motivated, and works well independently and with a team.
This is a full time, permanent position. We are looking for candidates in the greater Bozeman, Roundup, Forsyth, and Butte areas. We need someone who is comfortable working both in the field and at home. We will provide a new company car for your work in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
-Responsible for locating, maintaining, and troubleshooting long-haul fiber assets in a designated territory
-Operate as a field support contact for the Network Operations Center
-Oversee construction and deployment activity as required
-Work collaboratively with all other company resources to protect and maintain fiber route
Qualifications:
-Some knowledge of telecom
-Experience in locating, troubleshooting, and maintaining some sort of infrastructure
-Skilled in fiber fault determination (OTDR) and remediation
-Experience with DWDM equipment implementation and operation
-Highly customer focused
-Possess a valid driver's license
-Flexibility to assist with emergency restoration and troubleshooting as required

-Splicing design and construction management
