Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in determining the cost and feasibility of construction projects by analyzing project plans, conducting thorough cost estimations, and preparing bids. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a detailed understanding of construction processes and codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints and technical drawings to prepare cost estimates for construction projects.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs to assess material and labor requirements accurately.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals to present to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers to evaluate project feasibility and potential risks.
- Review and interpret electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance in estimates and bids.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and vendors to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD for data analysis and project visualization.
- Assist in scheduling project timelines and resource allocation effectively.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and team members to clarify project requirements and expectations.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation methodologies and software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Understanding of electrical codes and construction management principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
