Estimator Position Overview:
We are seeking an Estimator to join our team and provide accurate cost estimates for our interior, detail, retail, home, high-rise, and general contractor projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to manage projects of varying complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project plans, specifications, materials, and labor requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates
Gather cost data from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure estimates are current and accurate
Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
Work with project managers to ensure estimates are in line with project scope and objectives
Monitor project progress and track project spending to ensure estimates remain accurate
Prepare estimates for general contractor projects and assist with bid preparation and submission
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Provide timely updates to project managers and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
Proven experience as an estimator in interior, detail, retail, home, high-rise, or general contractor projects
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
