We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager (PM) to lead and manage electrical projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in the electrical industry, project management tools, and controls and instrumentation. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work successfully both as a team member and independently.
Position Overview:
The Electrical PM will lead and manage all aspects of electrical projects, while meeting the highest quality standards and staying within budget. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the electrical industry, including electrical construction, controls, instrumentation, design, and build. They will use their expertise in estimating, permitting, scheduling, NEC standards, and other industry protocols to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage electrical projects from conception to completion
Supervise electrical team to ensure all project goals are met
Oversee project budget, timeline, and scope of work
Estimate and manage project costs and resources
Prepare and submit bids and purchase orders
Ensure all projects are in compliance with NEC codes and other industry standards
Monitor progress of projects and report to upper management
Assess project performance and recommend improvements
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in the electrical industry
Extensive knowledge of electrical construction, controls and instrumentation, design, and build
Experience with project management tools such as PMP, Procore, and Bluebeam
Ability to read and interpret technical documents
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Solid understanding of NEC codes and other industry protocols
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software.
