We are a leading manufacturer of residential roofing shingles seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Department. This salaried position requires flexibility to handle various assignments in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
- Ensure safety by adhering to protocols and reporting hazards promptly.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of the Manufacturing Playbook and Playlist.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI programs, instrumentation, and drives on production lines.
- Analyze data to improve manufacturing efficiency across multiple production lines.
- Collaborate with teams to enhance automation and maintain documentation.
- Design and update electrical drawings using CAD software.
- Mentor and train controls and maintenance personnel.
- Manage projects, including writing specifications and coordinating installations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Controls Engineering.
- 3+ years of professional experience in PLC code development and motion control systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, HMI programming (Aveva preferred), and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills to interface with management and operational staff.
- Ability to implement innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in field service engineering or system integration.
- Familiarity with AI/Machine Learning applications in manufacturing.
- Experience with process control, machine vision systems, and IIOT devices.
