Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical manufacturing and safety management, with a focus on product stewardship. The EHS Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, as well as maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all EHS related inquiries and concerns.
- Monitor and analyze EHS data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Manage relationships with external regulatory agencies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
- Stay informed on industry trends and updates to regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and product stewardship.
- Experience with coatings, paints, silicas, sealants, and other related products is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus but not required.
