Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Rocky Mount, NC
Salary: $80,000 - $105,000
THIS ROLE REQUIRES 25% TRAVEL
Based in Rocky Mount we are a leading manufacturer of tray sealers, over wrappers, flow wrappers, weigh-price-labelers, case scales and horizontal-form-fill-seal machinery. Due to growth and demand for our services, we are in need of hiring for a Controls Engineer that possesses strong experience with PLC, HMI, and AutoCAD
Responsibilities:
Design, program, troubleshoot, implement, and test electrical control systems for automated packaging machinery
Travel to customer locations to supervise equipment installation, servicing, and commissioning in addition to offering technical training to other staff members and clients both internally and on the job.
PLC and HMI Programming
Using VFDs for motor control
AutoCAD Electrical Electrical Schematic Design
Panel Design and Layout
Bills of Material Development for Fieldbus Communications
Production of training materials and documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of automation controls and programming experience
AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience
PLC Programming experience preferably Siemens, Rockwell, and Omron
Working familiarity with data gathering and machine control systems, including I/O hardware, signal processing, field devices, and sensors
