Position Overview:The Controls Engineer is responsible for developing and troubleshooting electrical control systems for automated equipment used in a variety of industries. This includes programming, configuring, diagnosing, and repairing systems using PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and servo motor controllers.Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain the programming of automated systems using PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and servo motor controllers. Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software issues to identify root cause and implement corrective action. Implement control system changes and new features to improve process performance. Develop electrical schematics and prepare bills of materials for control systems. Research and recommend new technologies to improve system performance. Prepare documentation for control system designs and modifications. Coordinate with other engineering staff to ensure successful integration of control systems into products.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field. Knowledge of various PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and servo motor controllers, including Allen Bradley, Modicon, Beckhoff, Siemens, Factory Talk, RS View, WinCC, Wonderware, ABB, Motoman, and Fanuc. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, SolidWorks, or Solid Edge. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
