Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Inspector and multiple Resident Engineers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting construction projects, ensuring they meet NJDOT standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the construction of complex structures across multiple disciplines, including Marine, Civil, and Pier projects. Your duties will include inspecting the progress of the projects, ensuring quality standards are met, and making suggestions to improve the final outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect construction projects to ensure they adhere to NJDOT standards
Oversee projects and make recommendations for improvement
Monitor the progress of projects and ensure quality standards are met
Ensure all safety and environmental regulations are followed
Prepare reports on the progress and status of projects
Provide guidance and technical support to contractors and sub-contractors
Liaise with relevant stakeholders and ensure project deadlines are met
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field (Civil Engineering, Construction, Architecture, etc.)
Minimum of 5 years experience in construction inspection or engineering
Knowledge and experience with NJDOT standards
Experience with Marine, Civil, and Pier construction projects
Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
