We are looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our expanding legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, as well as a background in construction work or law. Position Overview:
The Civil Litigation Attorney will be responsible for handling all aspects of civil litigation, including legal research, document drafting, litigation strategy and trial preparation. The position requires a keen understanding of courtroom procedure and legal strategies. The Civil Litigation Attorney will also work closely with clients and other attorneys in the firm to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and document drafting
Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Negotiate settlements and advise clients on applicable laws
Manage discovery process and trial preparation
Interface with court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients
Develop and implement litigation strategies and tactics
Provide accurate and timely updates to clients and colleagues
Qualifications:
J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the bar in state with jurisdiction
At least 2 years of civil litigation experience
Excellent research and writing skills
Ability to interpret legal documents and statutes
Proficiency in computer applications
Knowledge of construction law and defense litigation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
