Job Overview We are currently hiring an Automation Controls Engineer that is responsible for multiple controls projects./ Our engineers help design, test, program and commission very exciting projects in the world of Material Handling. You will have the satisfaction of designing and developing various systems that come to life./ If you have experience with PLCs, HMI, SCADA or other Controls systems experience and want to join a company where you will have a meaningful impact on day one.
Job Functions Conduct full scope of controls projects that will involve programming with PLC/HMI or other various technologies. Architect, write, and debug PLC ladder logic with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable. Develop new controls techniques or equipment that will help maintain us as a leader in our industry. Learn new technologies via in-house or external training. Deliver projects that meet or exceed customer's expectations. Contribute to project teams, providing help outside of controls scope when required. Establish beneficial relationships with our key supplier products and service and provide technical assistance around issues or solutions. Introduce automated processes into production, and train Software and Production teams to support after deployment of equipment. Conduct site visits at client locations throughout U.S. Handle software service support requests and troubleshooting. Onsite installation to support new system implementations. Clear and effective communication with management, engineering, project management and other team members. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications: BS in Engineering or MS in Engineering (preferred). 4+ years experience, PLC, HMI, SCADA, panel design experience, hands on and mechanical capabilities, controls project managing experience. Working knowledge of PLCs (example: Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi). Demonstrated advanced proficiency in programming PLCs, with a well-defined methodology for maintaining code structure and organization. Embedded systems knowledge Proficient in C/C++ computer languages Excellent technical and presentations skill utilizing MS Office suite of products to support creation of such documents. Experience with MS Office products. AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred. Material Handling Integration experience preferred.
