Job Title: Associate Attorney - Public Agency, Education, & Healthcare Law
Location: San Diego, CA
Base Salary Range: $145,000 to $210,000/year
We are looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team of legal professionals. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Public Agency Law, Education Law, Brown Act, Writs of Mandate, Civil Restraining Orders, Special Education Due Process Litigation, Charter Schools, Political Reform Act, Nonprofit Law, Healthcare Law, Civil Litigation, Arguing Minor Motions, Drafting Basic Litigation Documents, Writing, Professionalism, TK-12 Public Schools, Complex Legal Issues, Legal Research, and Public Records Act.
Position Overview:
The Associate Attorney will provide research and analysis of legal issues and provide advice to clients. The Associate Attorney is responsible for providing legal counsel on a variety of public agency, education, and healthcare matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and analyzing a wide range of legal issues and providing advice to clients in the public and private sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, analyze, and interpret laws, regulations, and other legal documents.
- Advise clients on a variety of legal matters, including public agency, education, and healthcare law.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and briefs.
- Arguing motions and other matters in court.
- Provide legal representation to clients in hearings and other proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
- Identify potential issues and develop strategies to address them.
- Remain up to date on relevant legal developments.
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers in the team.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in public agency, education, and healthcare law.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with clients.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California Bar or eligibility to become admitted.
