Assistant Controller
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to support our financial management processes. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support the annual budget process and monitor budget compliance
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and SOX compliance
- Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors
- Prepare cost analyses and financial reports to assist in decision-making
- Assist in the management of the accounting team and provide training as necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Experience in manufacturing accounting is a plus
- CPA certification is preferred
- MBA is a plus
- Experience with SOX compliance is desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
