Accounting Assistant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient financial operations. The successful candidate will assist in various accounting functions, including accounts receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of payments.
Process payroll and maintain employee records related to payroll and benefits.
Prepare and issue offer letters and onboarding documents for new hires.
Manage general ledger entries and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
Utilize accounting systems such as Ajera, Deltek, and VantagePoint for efficient financial tracking.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and summaries.
Maintain accurate records of time sheets and invoices for efficient tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with accounting software and systems, such as Deltek, Ajera, and VantagePoint.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Competitive Salary: $60-80K based on experience
